Titre : From lamprey to primate, a phylogenetic apporach of decision making

Résumé:
In experimental psychology, goal oriented and automatic behaviours are classically opposed one to the other and supposed to depend from different networks competing in order to produce a response to a given stimulus. I will present today a new theoretical approach supported by phylogenetic and experimental data in rodents and primates that propose that these behaviours are indeed the 2 extreme of a continuum of emerging properties of the interaction in the cortex-basal-ganglia loops of mammals.
